I’ve just disembarked a cruise on one of the most exciting cruise ships in the world where I braved a 10-deck drop slide and raced other passengers around a three-storey race track on the top decks. The cruise was onboard the newest Norwegian cruise ship Norwegian Prima and even though I’ve been cruising with Norwegian since I was a child, this ship took me by surprise in every way possible. The cruise was anything but ordinary and like every cruise, it wasn’t all plain sailing. I took my first cruise with Norwegian when I was 11 years old and I’ve been cruising with them ever since but always on the smaller and older Norwegian ships. Prima has 19 bars and 15 different restaurants, she is 20 decks high and as long as 13 tennis courts or 75 full-sized cars so she's a relatively big ship. I knew that Prima had far more choices than I was used to at sea so I did wonder if I would find it all a bit overwhelming. I hoped that it wouldn't feel too busy sharing the ship with over 3000 other people and I wanted to come away from the cruise feeling as though it was worth the price tag. I’d been told that Prima was a more luxurious and premium kind of ship but I didn’t know if that would suit me and the way that I cruise. For the sake of little Emma here who was enjoying her first Norwegian cruise, I hoped that the experience hadn't changed too much from what I loved in the past. I was hoping for the same, but better. When I saw a sailing onboard Prima sailing to Bermuda from New York City, I knew that this was my time to give it a go. Sailing out of New York city is beautiful and Bermuda is always fantastic. This itinerary had 3 days in Bermuda too which I was excited about. It's rare to stay in a port for that long. We made a big time cruise mistake and it cost us money. It seemed that our day in Cork, Ireland would be uneventful but it did not start well. Footage of Carnival Sunshine Cruise Ship Wrecked By Storm and Big Waves #carnivalcruise #carnivalsunshine The storm wreaks havoc on the cruise ship, terrifying passengers and leaving the ship damaged. Passengers aboard the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship were left scared and desperate when a severe storm off the southeast coast turned their dream vacation into a nightmare. The ship, returning from the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend, experienced hazardous conditions that rocked passengers and battered the ship. Videos shared on social media captured the harrowing scenes on board. One passenger, Brad Morrell, filmed dark clouds engulfing the sky and huge white caps lashing the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The ship was rocking with huge waves, causing damage and chaos everywhere. Passenger reports described water damage, broken glass and flooded hallways resembling scenes from a disaster movie. Videos showed flooded hallways filled with debris, doors ripped off their hinges and sodden pipes strewn across the floor. Crew members were forced to evacuate their flooded quarters, adding to the chaos and fear. Several people aboard the ship took to social media to share photos and videos of the ordeal, some of which showed broken glass, doors ripped from the frame and water damage in some hallways of the ship. Videos posted to social media showed high waves and large white hoods tossing the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship as it returned to port in Charleston, South Carolina. He said the only time passengers heard from the captain was in the afternoon when he told them he had an experienced crew and that he would do everything possible to minimize disruption during the storm. They said it will get worse the closer we get to the storm,” she tweeted. “🤍CarnivalCruise is doing an AMAZING job!” She tweeted again Saturday afternoon describing "14 hours of high winds, rain and huge waves." “We were surrounded by lightning and the ship was hit hard by a wave and it looked like she had split in two,” Tutrone tweeted. Several passengers, including Brenda Goodwin Sherbert, posted on social media about broken glass on the ship.

(Part Three) In today's video it's our first port of call in Sitka, Alaska but before the ship docks we woke up to breathtaking views right from the balcony. After breakfast at solarium bistro up on deck 14 we have to stop and get a shuttle time card to disembark the ship in Sitka because of the shuttle transportation to the downtown area. Once we make it off the ship it's time to enjoy the town for a few hours. After making it back aboard Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas it's time for a late lunch inside of Windjammer plus we spent a little bit of time enjoying more of the on board activities before taking a good ole cruise nap. Oh yeah, we also spotted some sea lions from the top deck which was awesome! It's now time for dinner inside the main dining room to check out the new menus and for this evening it's a taste of Asia.
